At one level science communication does what it says on the box: it is about communicating science and building bridges between the people involved in scientific research and those who are not. But science communication is much more than that. Good communication can positively impact decision makers. It can increase trust in scientists, increase levels of scientific literacy in the community, provide an avenue for the 'business of science and research' to be part of our culture, and, at a practical level, lets your stakeholders know what you are doing and why.

Importantly, it is about bringing your science story to life.
